Image optimizer: alt text that writes itself, images that load faster.
Kaku looks at each image and writes its alt text, in every language your site speaks. Then it compresses the heavy ones inside your own WordPress, so every page has less to load and shows up sooner.
Kaku describes it. You apply it.
Kaku looks and writes
One image or the whole library, like a bulk alt text generator. Each language is written in that language, from what the image shows.
Tweak it or undo it
It's applied right away: if you want to change a line, you edit it, and if it doesn't convince you, you restore the previous alt text in one click.
An AI alt text generator that reads the image, not the filename
"IMG_4032.jpg" tells a screen reader nothing and gives Google Images nothing to rank.
alt="IMG_4032.jpg"
alt="A surfer duck-diving under a breaking wave at sunrise, board angled down."
Ein Surfer taucht bei Sonnenaufgang unter einer brechenden Welle durch, das Board nach unten geneigt.
One image, every language
Each language is written in that language, not translated from the English, and saved where your multilingual plugin expects it.
A WordPress image compression plugin for lighter, faster pages
Heavy images are what slow a site down. Kaku finds them and cuts their weight down to a fraction, with the same image on screen: oversized files are resized and recompressed, and the smaller sizes WordPress serves are regenerated as WebP.
The heavy ones, first. Kaku shows you which images are dragging your pages down.
One click, whole library. Compress a single image, or run bulk image compression on every oversized one at once.
You decide the limits. Set the max size you want and nothing gets compressed without your go-ahead.
You choose which images to compress and the size limits they follow.
FAQs about the WordPress image optimizer
Does compression really run on my own server?
Yes. It runs inside your WordPress through the Kaku plugin: no image is uploaded anywhere, and no AI model is involved in resizing or recompressing it.
Will compressing ruin my image quality?
Compression follows the size limits you set, so images stay sharp at the dimensions your pages actually display them. Nothing is compressed until you confirm it, and that matters: compression replaces the original file and can't be undone.
How does multilingual alt text work?
Each language is written in that language from the image, not translated from the English, and saved on that language's version of the image. It needs Polylang with its media module or WPML with Media Translation; without them, it's written in the main language only.
Will it overwrite alt text I wrote?
Only if you select those images. And if it rewrites one, Kaku keeps the previous alt text: you restore it in one click from the image itself.
Does it work with WooCommerce product images?
Yes. Product images live in the same media library and show up in the same grid, with their alt text written the same way.
Does it help with PageSpeed's “Properly size images” and “Serve images in next-gen formats”?
It works on the causes behind both: images wider than your limit are resized, heavy files are recompressed, and the smaller sizes WordPress serves are regenerated as WebP. Lighter images mean less for every visitor to download.
Is it an alt text generator or an image compression plugin?
Both, in one WordPress image optimization plugin. The alt text is written by AI from what each image shows, and compression runs on your own server, cutting the weight of every image you choose without using credits.
